Refund and Returns Policy

1. Introduction and Scope

This Refund and Returns Policy outline the procedures and conditions under which Dhuri Foundation UK (referred to as “Dhuri Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) manages refunds for financial donations and returns for any physical merchandise sold to support our mission of “Empowering Communities, Enriching Lives” and the preservation of water, forest, and land.

By making a donation or purchasing merchandise from Dhuri Foundation, you agree to this policy.

2. Financial Donations Refund Policy

Dhuri Foundation is a non-profit organization, and all financial contributions are immediately put to work to fund our charitable activities and causes. As such, the general policy is that all donations are non-refundable and final.

Exceptions for Donation Refunds

We understand that errors can occur. Refunds on donations may be considered only under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Error in Donation Amount: If a donor informs us immediately (within 24 hours) that a technical error or input mistake led to a donation amount significantly larger than intended.
  • Duplicate Transaction: If a donor discovers a duplicate charge due to a technical error in the processing system.
  • Unauthorized/Fraudulent Transaction: If a donation was made without the cardholder’s permission or by fraudulent means. In these cases, we will cooperate with the donor and their financial institution to process a full refund, provided we receive proof of the unauthorized transaction.

How to Request a Donation Refund

To request a donation refund based on the exceptions above, please contact us immediately with the following information:

  • The full name of the donor.
  • The date and amount of the donation.
  • The transaction confirmation number (if available).
  • A clear explanation of the reason for the refund request (e.g., “duplicate charge,” “error in amount”).

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 working days of the date the donation was made. Dhuri Foundation will review the request and respond within 14 working days. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment within 10–15 working days.

3. Merchandise and Physical Goods Return Policy

If Dhuri Foundation sells physical goods or merchandise (such as t-shirts, books, or crafts) to raise funds, this section applies.

Returns for Defective or Damaged Items

We only accept returns for items that are defective, damaged, or incorrectly fulfilled upon receipt.

  • Defective/Damaged Goods: If you receive merchandise that is damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery.
  • Proof: You must provide clear photographic evidence of the damage.
  • Action: Upon verification, we will offer you the choice of:
    • A full refund for the cost of the merchandise, or
    • A replacement item (subject to availability).

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for merchandise based on:

  • Change of mind.
  • Incorrect sizing (if sizing guides were provided).
  • Normal wear and tear.

All refunds for merchandise will exclude the original shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., we shipped the wrong item).
