Dhuri Foundation UK is dedicated to celebrating, promoting, and preserving the rich cultural heritage and languages of Uttarakhand for future generations. Rooted in the values of unity, identity, and cultural pride, our mission is to create meaningful platforms where people—especially the youth—can reconnect with their traditions, mother tongues, and ancestral wisdom. Through cultural initiatives, educational programs, and community-driven events, we work to strengthen bonds among Uttarakhandi communities across India and around the world.
One of our flagship initiatives is the Betalghat Mahotsav, a grand cultural, craft, and folk festival held in the scenic region of Betalghat, Nainital. This vibrant event brings together folk artists, craftsmen, performers, and local communities to showcase the true spirit of Uttarakhand. From traditional music and dances to handcrafted art and local cuisine, the Mahotsav highlights the timeless beauty of our heritage while promoting cultural tourism and empowering local talent.
To preserve our native languages, Dhuri Foundation UK also offers structured language classes in Delhi NCR for Kumauni, Garhwali, and Jaunsari. Designed for all age groups, these interactive sessions focus on spoken practice, folklore, and cultural context, helping learners take pride in their linguistic identity.
By connecting the new generation to their roots, we nurture cultural pride, strengthen community ties, and ensure that Uttarakhand’s traditions and languages continue to thrive in a modern world.
